Affiliate Disclosure

thecook.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

What this means for you

When you click a product link on thecook.com and make a qualifying purchase on Amazon, we earn a small commission. This commission comes from Amazon's margin — it does not increase the price you pay. You pay exactly what Amazon charges.

Our partner tag is thecooknet-20, which you will see appended to the Amazon URLs we link to.

What this means for our recommendations

Our affiliate relationships do not determine which products we recommend. We earn commissions on products we recommend and on products we do not recommend, at the same rates. There is no financial incentive to recommend one product over another within any given category.

We flag in our content wherever Amazon is not the best purchase path for a product. When a brand sells primarily direct-to-consumer (Made In, Misen, Great Jones, HexClad), we note this and link to their Amazon listings where available. Our goal is to get you to the right product, not to maximize our click-through rate.

Other relationships

thecook.com does not currently accept sponsored content, paid placements, or free products in exchange for coverage. If this changes, it will be disclosed on the relevant content.

FTC compliance

This disclosure is provided in compliance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255). If you have questions about our disclosure practices, contact us through the contact page.
